Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 F-150 comes in eight trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, Tremor, and Raptor. It has a large, oval or rectangular grille with the Ford emblem in the center. The Raptor's grille has FORD lettering instead. Automatic high beams, 17-inch wheels, daytime running lights, fog lights, and manually folding side mirrors are standard. You'll also get a full-size spare tire and four cargo tie-down hooks. You can choose a 5.5-, 6.5-, or 8-foot truck bed.
Optional features include 18-, 20-, or 22-inch wheels, onboard scales to measure payload weight, a power tailgate with a work surface, lighting for the truck bed, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. A panoramic sunroof, power running boards, chrome accents, and heated auto-dimming side mirrors with memory settings and turn signals are also available.
Engine (Power)
The 3.3-liter V-6 engine is standard with the XL and XLT, and it gives 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. The Lariat has a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 that provides 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. With the King Ranch, Platinum, and Tremor, you'll get a 5.0-liter V-8 that produces 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The Limited and Raptor use a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 with 400 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. With many trims, you can choose a 3.5-liter hybrid PowerBoost motor that offers 430 horsepower and 570 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
The F-150 can carry up to 3,250 pounds and tow up to 14,000 pounds. It comes with normal, eco, slippery, sport, tow/haul, and trail driving modes. Vehicles with four-wheel drive also have mud/rut and deep snow/sand modes. All engine options use a 10-speed automatic transmission. Automatic stop-and-start technology increases fuel efficiency by shutting off the engine to prevent idling in traffic. It's standard with the XL, XLT, Lariat, Platinum, and Limited, and it's optional with other trim levels.
