A table full of breakfast items

Sometimes you just don’t feel like making a meal at home for the whole family, so luckily Asheville, NC has a variety of family restaurants that will be sure to please everyone. We created a list of our favorite places to dine in town.

1. Moose Cafe

This is a favorite place among the locals to come for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You’ll also have beautiful views of the surrounding mountains as you dine. The home-cooked Southern cuisine will leave you wanting to come back again and again. Try one of their classics, like the NC mountain trout, the flaky white fish, the homemade meatloaf, the chicken and dumplings, or the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich.

We also love their sides, like the mashed potatoes and gravy, the fresh-cut collard greens, and the country-style green beans. Order the chicken wings, grilled cheese, or hamburger for the little ones. You can find this facility at 570 Brevard Rd. and they are open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

2. Haywood Common

We like to dine outside on the patio here on a nice day. You can even bring your dog. They use local, fresh ingredients and their menu varies depending on the season. Options include feta fries, fish tartine, a portabella burger, a Thai buffalo chicken sandwich, chicken and waffles, and a cheesesteak. The kids’ menu includes fried or grilled chicken, fried tofu, a cheeseburger, a grilled cheese, tater tots, and cucumber slices.

The adults can also enjoy a house cocktail or glass of wine. Find Haywood Common at 507 Haywood Rd. and you can dine here any day of the week. Please drink responsibly and in moderation and do not drink and drive.

3. Twisted Laurel Downtown Asheville

This is also a nice place to dine outside, but the inside is very nice and airy as well. We like their family-style dinners that will feed everyone at the table. They also have an extensive kids’ menu with meals like the Angus burger, chicken fingers, vegetables, pasta marinara, grilled trout, and grilled chicken breast. The adults can start with the crispy brussel sprouts or the hummus and then partake in one of their excellent pasta dishes or handhelds.

This restaurant even has a doggie menu! Rover can join you outside and order grilled trout, a sweet potato, a veggie “burger,” or grilled brussel sprouts. Visit here at 130 College St. They are closed Sundays and Mondays.

Impress your entire family by taking them out in your new 2022 Ford Escape SE. Visit us at Asheville Ford, located at 611 Brevard Rd. We have ongoing specials, and we are ready to introduce you to your new vehicle today.
