A Ford Explorer parked outside

The Ford Explorer has been popular since its release in 1991, and it gets better with time. The 2023 Ford Explorer features a lot of exciting things to love. Its interior is comfortable and nice to look at, the exterior has an athletic design, and this SUV has all the features you’d expect of a vehicle in this class.

Spacious and Luxurious Interior

The Explorer has seating for up to 7, and its cabin is designed to make sure every passenger is as comfortable as possible, even on lengthier trips. The leather seating surfaces feel nice to brush your hands against, and they give the cabin a luxurious appearance. There’s plenty of legroom, so your passengers won’t end up uncomfortable. The available twin-panel moonroof helps keep the lighting bright and natural during daytime trips.

If you want to make your time in the cabin extra enjoyable, then you can pump the cabin full of sound using the 14-speaker B&O sound system that’s available. This sound system includes a subwoofer, so you can really feel the bass of whatever music you listen to. A 12-speaker version of the system is also available.

Strong Towing Ability

If you’ve got a heavy trailer to haul along with you on your journeys, then you can be certain that your Explorer will be able to handle it. It’s more than capable of tugging along trailers up to 5,600 pounds in weight. However, make sure you get the Class IV Trailer Tow package if you anticipate towing loads that heavy.

Driver Assistance Safety Features

Ford vehicles always come with a range of driver assistance features that enhance safety while driving. Some of the features you can expect to find on the Explorer include a blind spot information system, pre-collision assist, a rearview camera, and adaptive cruise control.

The digital driver cluster clearly displays all alerts from the pre-collision system and blind spot information system. Meanwhile, you can view the feed from your rearview camera on the large portrait center touchscreen.

Remote Access

The Explorer is compatible with the FordPass app, which gives you remote access to some of your SUV’s functions. For example, you can lock and unlock the car’s doors from afar, schedule a time for its engine to start automatically, and start and stop the engine using your smart device. The app also lets you check your oil and fuel levels, so you’ll know if you need to stop for gas or visit the dealer for maintenance before you even get into the car each morning.
